It is urgent that all our members observe and follow the state-mandated guidelines and the City of Portland and PPB COVID-19 protocols which requires you to wear a mask at all times when inside police facilities in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.
This is especially important now that the flu season is upon us. It is our responsibility to set an example and do everything we can to help ensure the health and safety of our members, your co-workers, your families, and our communities.
You must wear your mask at all times in all police facilities.
And of course, continue to follow these common-sense physical distancing guidelines:
- keep 6 feet between you and others in public,
- don’t touch your face,
- cover coughs and sneezes, and
- wash your hands.
- If you are sick, stay home and away from others to protect them.
Masks are NOT a replacement for physical distancing; they are one more thing we can do to protect one another.
