PPA Members: Do You Need Umbrella Insurance Coverage?
Your PPA-endorsed auto and home insurance provider can help you.
If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you may want to consider purchasing an umbrella policy.
- Do you own more than one property?
- Do you have a vacation home or rental property?
- Do you have a swimming pool in your backyard?
- Do you own a boat or other recreational vehicles?
- Do you have inexperienced drivers in your household?
An umbrella policy gives you and your family another layer of liability protection above your existing auto and home policies. They protect your assets and future earnings if an unusually catastrophic event occurs. Increased litigation and the high cost of medical procedures demand that most people carry umbrella insurance.
With or without warning, accidents do happen. Protect yourself with a personal umbrella policy.
Can you imagine being sued for $1,000,000 because you were involved in an accident? How about $2,000,000? Or even $5,000,000? People like you are sued every day. The truth is an unforeseen accident often leads to a large lawsuit that can cost you your life savings. Don’t assume your home, auto or boat insurance will protect you – often there just isn’t enough coverage.
Think it will never happen to you?

- Incidents involving any property covered by your basic homeowner’s policy.
- Incidents involving slander, libel, defamation of character, invasion of privacy, or false arrest.
- Defense costs, even if you are found not liable.
